The VVA has a national membership of approximately 50,000 in 525 chapters throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. It provides leadership and education opportunities, as well as support and assistance in securing benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). It plays an active role in government relations advocacy at the federal and state levels to improve benefits and services available to our nation’s veterans.  

The Darwin J. Thomas Memorial Chapter 201 was formed in 1984 and received its National Charter in July 1988. The Chapter’s activities emphasize and support the goals and objectives of service, fraternity, pride and knowledge. Individual membership is open to Vietnam Veterans of military service of the United States of America, who served “In-Country” from 28 February 1961 to 7 May 1975, or Vietnam Generation Veteran who served on active duty anywhere from 5 August 1964 to 7 May 1975. A copy of DD Form 214 is required for membership.
